Mary Zunich
Mary Zunich, 100, of Hope, passed away on Aug. 13, 2007 at East Cambridge Nursing Home in Madison Heights, Michigan following a long illness.
She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 28, 1907 to Toune and Frances (Boljkovak) Novacich. She was a homemaker and had lived in Gladwin County since 1969, previously residing in Detroit. She was a member of St. Anne Parish in Edenville.
Mary was united in marriage August 1925 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Michael Zunich. He preceded her in death in 1982.
She is survived by her son, Mike (Mary) Zunich of Madison Heights; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; great great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Branko Vinski of Madison Heights; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Zunich of Hope. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Charles; daughter, Lillian Vinski; granddaughter, Kathlene Keilb; and her grandson, Steven Zunich.
Funeral services were held Aug. 17 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Edenville with Father Raymond Moeggenberg and Sister Mary Ellen McDonald officiating.
She was laid to rest at New Calvary Cemetery in Midland. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Anne Parish in Edenville.
