Mercedes Zamarron
Mercedes Zamarron, 47, of Gladwin, died suddenly of a heart attack at his
home at 913 North Silverleaf St. Thursday, Aug. 21. Born in Ashley on Nov. 2, 1927 he came
to Gladwin County from Midland in 1956. Mr. Zamarron was employed as a lab technician with
Dow Chemical Co. in Midland and served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a
member of the Gladwin County Sportsmen's Club. He was married to Laura Faye Connelly on Nov.
27, 1973, in Gladwin.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his father, Aurelio of Stanton; three sons, Kim of
Gladwin, Moe of Grayson, Ky. and Patrick of Grand Rapids; and four daughters, Nannette of Grand
Rapids and Jennifer, Christina and Corina Gay, all of Gladwin. Services were hedl Saturday at 2
p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin. The Rev. John A. Costa officiated and burial was in
the Highland Cemetery.
