Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Kenneth Young

   Kenneth W. Young, 82, of Gladwin passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008 at the MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland.

   He was born April 13, 1925 in Detroit to Alexander and Margaret (Barnes) Young. Ken married the former Mary Motto Jan. 26, 1946 in Detroit. He retired from the Budd Co. as an electrical supervisor in 1980 after more than 38 years and then they moved to Gladwin County.

   Ken served his country during World War II and was a member of the V.F.W. Post #1146 in St. Clair Shores. He was a member of the Gladwin Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #3292. He had worked in maintenance at the Gladwin Community Schools and also worked security in Sugar Springs. He loved to fish walleye and hunt pheasant.

   Surviving are his wife, Mary; two sons, Donald (Kathy) Young of St. Clair Shores and Larry (Sandra) Young of Clinton Township; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

   A memorial service will be held at the Gladwin Eagles Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008 at 12 p.m. Sisson Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
