Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Clare Yager

   Clare Yager, 70,of 3176 West Zuber Rd., Beaverton, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, in the Clare Nursing Home following a long illness. Born in Cadillac on April 10, 1906, he came to Gladwin County in 1920 from Wexford County. Mr. Yager was retired as owner of Yager Construction Co. in Beaverton. He was a member of the Beaverton F & AM Lodge No. 453.

   He and the former Magarette Burr were married on August 29, 1927, in Gladwin. Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Ardis Larkin and Mrs. JoAnn Brown of Beaverton and Mrs. Bernice Green of Clare; 3 sons, Jerry, Marlin and James of Beaverton; 2 brothers, Ray of Shields and Rolland of Beaverton; and one sister, Mrs. Maxine Blohm of Defiance, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

   Services were held Friday, at 2 p.m. from the Beaverton Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Henry List officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral Home.
