Franklin Wright
SERVICES HELD FOR FRANKLIN WRIGHT
Franklin Wright, 52, a lifelong resident of Gladwin county, passed away Friday, June 26,
at the Page Nursing Home in Beaverton, following a three year illness. Although in ill health
for a long time, his death came suddenly. The son of George and Addie Wright, he was born August
17, 1901, in Gladwin county. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1926 to 1930.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Addie Wright, of Midland; three brothers, Wayne of Midland,
Joseph of Sanford and Orville of Paducah, Kentucky; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Hayward of Quincy and
Mrs.Iva Looker of Gladwin. Funeral services were held Monday, at 2:30 p.m., from the Hall Funeral
Home with the Rev. William Suk, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Midland, officiating. Burial was
in McClure cemetery. Mr. Wright was a member of the Ralph Wright American Legion Post, of Gladwin.
