William Wray
ILLNESS FATAL TO HAROLD WRAY
William Harold Wray, Sage Township farmer, died at the V. A. Hospital in Ann Arbor Friday,
Feb. 10, following a long illness. He was 75-years old. Born March 10, 1891, in Crossville, Mr.
Wray came to Gladwin County 71 years ago. He was a veteran of World War I, serving in the U.S.
Navy. He and the former Pearl Fries were married Oct. 21, 1924, in Beaverton.
Survivors are his wife, Pearl; three sons, Lyle of Clio, William of Grand Blanc, and Clinton
of Linden; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Edgar of Swartz Creek; a brother, Claude of Flint, and a sister,
Mrs. Nancy Gleason of Grand Blanc; and 13 grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home with Elder Alva Pendlton
officiating and burial in Highland Cemetery.
