Gladys Irene Wood
Gladys Irene Wood, 67, of 1786 Dow Dr., Gladwin, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 1992, in the Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center, Midland, after a short illness.
Born in Konova, W. Va., Sept. 12, 1924, she moved to Gladwin County several years ago. Mrs. Wood was a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church and the Gladwin Eagles Club 3292.
The former Gladys Dorsey, she was married to Claude Wood on Nov. 5, 1983.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Griffith of Gladwin; 2 step-sons, Howard Wood of Gladwin and Michael Wood of Lapeer; a step-daughter, Mona MacDonald of New York; and 22 grandchildren.
Rites were held Sunday at noon from Christ the King Lutheran Church. Pastor Roger Hardy officiated and burial was in the Glenn Eden Cemetery, Livonia. An Eagles Memorial Service was held Saturday at 7 p.m. Sisson Funeral Home was in Charge of arrangements.
