Claudis Wilson
Claudis E. Wilson, 68, of 572 Brownlee Rd., Sanford, died Tuesday, April
4, 1989, in Saginaw St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Beaverton, Jan. 12, 1921, he retired from
Dow Chemical Co. in 1978 after 37 years. Mr. Wilson served with the Army during World War
II in the European, African, Middle Eastern and Asiatic Pacific Theatres. He was a member
of VFW Post 3651 and an avid sportsman. Mr. Wilson and the former Donna Wooley were married
Dec. 6, 1941, in Beaverton. Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Stephen of Coleman
and Rickford of Carland; 2 daughters, Mrs. Richard (Roxie) Robinette and Terry Mose of
Beaverton; one brother Adelbert of Sanford; 3 sisters, Florence Wooley of Edenville, Jessie
Watson of Flint and Dorothy Boman of Hope; 22 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Services were held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Wilson-Miller Funeral Home in Midland. The Rev.
James Smith officiated and burial was in the Old Edenville Cemete.
