JOHN M. (BUD) WHITEHOUSE


  John M. (Bud) Whitehouse, 67, of Grand Rapids and formerly of Beaverton, died Thursday, May 10, 2001 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans in Grand Rapids, following a long illness. Born Nov. 6, 1933 in Campbellsville, Ky., he was the son of Otis and Jessie (Shivel) Whitehouse. He was a painter. John was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Gladwin County VFW, Post 7303.

  Surviving are two sons, Robert and wife Dawn of Midlland, and Ronald and friend Sarah Caswell of Beaverton; one daughter, Cathy and husband Dan Ricky of Gladwin; seven grandchildren; stepfather, Deloss Richardson of Beaverton; one sister, Juanita Simon of Beaverton; six brothers, Otis and wife Janet Whitehouse, William and wife Rosemarie Whitehouse, and Edward and wife Pat Whitehouse, all of Beaverton, Larry and wife Denise Richardson, Jerry and wife Jo Richardson and Jime and wife Vicki Richardson, all of Coleman; and many nieces and nephews.

  He was predeceased in death by his parents, and one brother, Robert Whitehouse, Feb. 10, 2001. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton. Burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery, Gladwin County VFW, Post 7303 was in charge of the military graveside services. .
