Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Hazel White

   Hazel M. White, 83, of Beaverton, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001 at the Gladwin Pines Nursing Home in Gladwin, following a short illness. Born Jan. 13, 1918 in McClure, Ohio, she was the daughter of Frank and Maude (Mowan) Cornell. She lived most of her life in Gladwin County. Hazel married George White, Dec. 24, 1937 in Ohio. He preceded her in death in 1968. She worked in maintenance for Brown Machine in Beaverton.

   Surviving are two daughters, Rosemary Whitehouse of Beaverton and Pamela White of Pendleton, Or.; one granddaughter, Cathy and husband Dan Ricky of Gladwin; two grandsons, Bob and wife Dawn Whitehouse and friend Sarah Caswell of Beaverton; 10 great-grandchildren, Robert Whitehouse, Jr., Jennifer, James and Christina Whitehouse, Sarah Holcomb, Amanda Blank, Stacy Farrow, Amy Ricky, Jacob Spann, and Jason Hobkirk; two great-great-grandchildren, Haylee Blank and Blake Whitehouse; and four sisters, Kate Stillwagon of Beaverton, Helen Yeager of Shields, June Buck of Gladwin, and Viola Silence of Florida.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and two sisters. Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton with Rev. Mark Moore officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery in Gladwin. Memorial contributions may be made to be made to be used according to the wishes of the family.
