NATHAN WELL
GLADWIN BOY KILLED
IN AUTO ACCIDENT WHEN STEERING GEAR GOES WRONG AND CAR
BUMPS INTO A TREE
Nathan Well, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Well, was
fatally injured in an auto-mobile accident Sunday
afternoon about 6 o'clock. He was cautioned by the
doctor to keep quiet and allow him to take him home
with his car but the boy insisted that he was all
right and walked home. He was badly bruised especially
about the Head, and died about 3 a.m. Monday.
The accident took place near the north city limits,
when the steering gear went wrong on a car being
driven by Francis Wilmot on their return trip from
West Branch. On the front seat with him was Nathan and
on the rear seat his brothers. The car took a header
for the side of the road, ran into a tree, and smashed
things generally. Nathan was crushed against the
windshield and the tree, while the occupants of the
rear seat were able to save themselves, although Alvin
Well sustained serious injuries and is in a hospital
at Bay City-Gladwin Record. .
