Harold L. Wehrle
Harold L. Wehrle, 82, of Beaverton, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1998 at MidMichigan
Medical Center-Midland after a short illness. Born May 14, 1916 in Detroit, he lived in Gladwin
County 24 years and previously lived in Wayne. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in World War
II and a member of VFW Post 7303, Gladwin County. Harold married the former Mildred Brown, Oct.
28, 1939 in Ft. Wayne, Ind. He worked as a supervisor, machine repair, for General Motors,
hydramatic plant in Willow Run for 24 years, retiring in 1974.
Besides his wife he is survived by five daughters, Shirleen and husband Rexford of Ypsilanti,
Georgann and husband Robert Hendrix of Wayne, Holly and husband Timothy Cusatis of White Lake,
Terri and husband Donald Doane, and Teena and husband Ron Sanger, all of Beaverton; 12 grandchildren;
and eight great grandchildren.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel with Rev. David Stewart
officiating. Burial was in Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery in Beaverton. A VFW 7303 military graveside
service was held. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
