Lewis Webb
Lewis H. Webb, 76, of 868 Weber Rd., Gladwin, died Monday, July 8, at the
West Branch Geriatic Village following a long illness. Born in Gratiot Ky. Aug. 18, 1908, he
came to Gladwin County in 1974 from Detroit. He was a retired locomotive engineer for Great
Lakes Steel. Mr. Webb was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Gladwin Masonic Lodge
397. Mr. Webb and the former Louverna Hansel were married Nov. 13, 1939, in Kentucky.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Doyle of Gladwin; and 2 grandchildren. Services
were held today, Wednesday, at 1 p.m. from the Sisson-Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Carl Lingberg
officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery. A Masonic service was held Tuesday at 7 p.m.
at the funeral home.
