Richard Warner
Richard Warner, 60, of Lake Isabella and professor emeritus at Ferris State
College, died Dec. 4, in Benton Harbor. He was born Sept. 20, 1924, in Lowell. He joined the
Ferris faculty as an associate professor in 1976. He left Ferris in 1981 to become a lecturer
in industrial arts in the School of Education at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji.
He was a member of the Big Rapids United Methodist Church. Dr. Warner was married to the former
Georgia Clendening of Gladwin, in 1947.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ann Parkhurst of Richland, Wash.;
2 sons, Martin of St. Joseph and Thomas of Lansing; one brother and two sisters. Rites were held
Dec. 7, at the Big Rapids United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Highland Cemetery, Gladwin.
