Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Daniel Walters

   Daniel A. Walters, 91, of 10997 Dunham Lake Rd., Gladwin, died Saturday, Oct. 23, in the Tolfree Memorial Hospital, West Branch. Born in VanWert, Ohio, on May 12, 1891, he moved to Roscommon County as a small boy 80 years ago. Mr. Walters was employed by the Conservation Department, was a superintendent of the WPA, and was a truck driver for the Roscommon County Road Commission and State Highway Dept. until retiring in 1953. He was married to the former Delilah Bradley March 2, 1917, in Gladwin.

   Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Zarold Wayne and F. J. of Gladwin; 21 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Mathews Funeral Home. Elder Richard Hamilton officiated and burial was in the Butman Cemetery.
