Thomas Walker
Thomas “Max” Walker, 67, of Gladwin died July 6, 2005 at home. He was born in Maynard, Arkansas on Sept. 14, 1937 to B.H. and Sylvia (Karnes) Walker. He was a safety consultant for Bradco in Houston, Texas and also served in the U.S. Navy. He lived the last three years in Gladwin County, having previously resided in Shore Acres, Texas. He was an advocate for the disabled.
Surviving him are five children, Tom (Jessica) Walker of Gulf Port, Mississippi, Tina (Brock) Proctor of LaPorte, Texas, Holly (John) Northsworthy of Houston, Texas, Tommy (Valerie) Mitchell of Sanford, North Carolina, and Tony (Bob) Buzzell of Gladwin; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Walker of Slidell, Louisiana and W.B. Walker; one sister, Vernell Wells; and a very special friend, Nancy Buzzell of Gladwin. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Travis Max Walker; his brother, Lonzo Walker; and two sisters, Marvell Shipley and Thelma Duprey.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 10 at Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin with Pastor Burton Kincaid officiating.
