Royal E. Walker
ROYAL (ROY) E. WALKER
Royal (Roy) E. Walker, 69, of Beaverton, died Thursday, June 19, 1997 at MidMichigan Regional Medical Center-Midland after a short illness. Born Dec. 14, 1927 in Warwick, R.I., he lived in Gladwin County since 1991, moving from Commerce Township. Royal married his wife Jean, Feb. 2, 1970 in Walled Lake. He had been employed by General Motors in Pontiac as a mechanic, retiring in 1991 after 23 years. He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Gladwin.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Bradley of Beaverton; one stepson, Ronald and wife Mary Ann Tyranski of Commerce Township; one stepdaughter, Jill Rossetto of Commerce Township; one sister, Vernice Myers of Cody, Wy.; and six granddaughters. He was preceded in death by one stepson, Larry Tyranski in 1977 and two brothers.
Services were held at noon Monday at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Gladwin, with the Rev. David Sprang officiating. Burial was in Billings Township Cemetery, Beaverton. Arrangements were in charge of Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Christ the King Lutheran Church.
