Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Orlen [Stub] Wager

   Orlen M. (Stub) Wagar, 83, of south M-30, Gladwin, died Monday, Feb. 10, at the Town & Country Nursing Home in Midland after a short illness. Born in Gladwin on April 25, 1891, he had spent most of his life here. He was a veteran of World War I and was retired from Dow Chemical Company. Mr. Wagar was married to the former Emma Heckerthorn.

   Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Charles of Washington and William of Livonia; one daughter, Mrs. Orrine Broka of Beaverton; three step-daughters, Mrs. Betty Stephenson of Scottvills, Mrs. Florence Silka and Mrs. Edna Elson of Arizona; one step-son, William Heckerthorn of Bay City; 18 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Rites were held today, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin. The Rev. Byron Hatch officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery.
