Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Anthony Vogel Sr.

   Anthony Edward Vogel, Sr. passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005 at his residence.

   Anthony was born Jan. 1, 1932 in Ruth, Michigan to the late Adolph and Adella (Messing) Vogel. Mr. Vogel married the former Ruth Noble on Sept. 29, 1951 in Palms, Michigan. Ruth passed away on June 30, 1990. Anthony lived in Gladwin County for the past 45 years. He worked for Robinson Industries. In years past he was a member of the Secord- Clement-Wildwood Fire Department.

   Mr. Vogel is survived by three sons, Michael (Noreen) Vogel and Paul (Kathleen) Vogel, both of Gladwin, and Mark Vogel of West Branch; two daughters, Valarie (Ron) Young of Mt. Morris and Gloria Govitz of Beaverton; six brothers, William (Virginia) Vogel, Charles (Jane) Vogel, Art (Kate) Vogel, John (Elaine) Vogel, Lawrence (Florence) Vogel and Frank (Nancy) Vogel; seven sisters, Carol (Ralph) Osborn, Lucille (Jerome) Kolar, Mary (Lavern) Shemka, Betty (Eugene) Kubacki, Evelyn (Roger) Stolicker, Catherine Cleveland and Theresa (Thomas) Kahlo; 16 grandchildren and 27 Great grandchildren; and special friends Jeff, Denise and Ted. Anthony was predeceased by two sons, Peter and Anthony, Jr.; one Great grandson, Keith Vogel; and one sister, Anne Vogel.

   Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 5 at the St. Patricks Catholic Church in Palms with burial in the St. Patricks Cemetery.

   Sacramental Minister Steve Gavit will officiate. The Sisson Funeral Home was put in charge of the arrangements.
