James VanPatten Sr.
James L. VanPatten Sr., 58, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007 at his home in Gladwin.
He was born on Dec. 30, 1948 in Lansing, Michigan to Forrest and Elizabeth (Wilson) VanPatten.
He was formerly employed as a maintenance man for KSI Cabinets, Brighton, Michigan. He had lived in Gladwin county since 1990, previously residing in Oak Grove, Michigan.
James married Patricia Lieberman on Feb. 17, 1968 in Howell, Michigan.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; two sons, James Jr. (Marlana) VanPatten of Oak Grove, Christopher (Michael) VanPatten of North Carolina; grandson, Tyler VanPatten of Fowlerville; brothers, Harold VanPatten of Lansing and Scott VanPatten of Fowlerville; sisters, Janet Molliter of Lansing and JoAnn Skaggs of Fenton. He is predeceased by his parents; two sisters; and three brothers.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007 at Hall- Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. He was laid to rest in Ridge Cemetery in Gladwin.
