Stanley Urbanski
SUCCUMBS TO LONG ILLNESS
Stanley A. Urbandski, 43, died Sunday, July 31 at his home in Highwood after an illness of
almost a year. He was born July 21, 1917 in Detroit, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Urbanski and
moved to Gladwin three years ago. On leave from his job as diesetter for the Chicago Rawhide Mfg.
Co. of Detroit, he and his wife owned and operated Doc and Bernies Store at Highwood. He was a
member of the Sacred Heart Soc. 1017 P.R.C.U. of St. Stephens Church in Detroit and also a World
War 2 veteran. On November 11, 1950, he married Burdine Annette Martinez in Detroit.
Other survivors besides his wife, Burdine, are his father, Frank and stepmother, Caroline of
Detroit; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Pawlowski, Garden City, and Helen Stemplen of Detroit; two
stepbrothers, Bennie Pinkowski, Melvindale, and Chester of Detroit. Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Church, with the Father George
Artman officiating and burial in Highland Cemetery.
