Harold A. Tyrell
Harold A. “Bud” Tyrell, 77, of Gladwin died March 15, 2006 at Laurels of Mt. Pleasant following a long illness. He was born in Decker, Michigan on Nov. 25, 1928 to Harry and Annie Tyrell.
He was employed as a laborer at Detroit Edison in Port Huron and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He lived in Gladwin County since 2000, previously residing in Sandusky, Michigan.
Surviving are three sons, Mike (Melissa) Castillo of Gladwin, Joseph M. (Amy) Tyrell of North Carolina, and Patrick Castillo of Arizona; two daughters, Lucy Tyrell and Tracy (Donald) Hansen, both of South Dakota; his grandchildren, Austin, Breanna, Joseph, Jr., Caitlyn, Leslie, Ashley, Joann, Lupy, Melissa and Douglas; and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Lou, in 2000; his parents; and his brother, Doug Tyrell.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 18 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Gladwin with pastor David Sprang officiating. Burial followed in Ridge Cemetery in Gladwin.
