Berniece Tucker

   Berniece I. (Klein) Tucker, 80, of Midland died at the MidMichigan Medical Center on Tuesday, July 5, 2005.

   The daughter of the late Ralph B. and Cora E. (Looker) Klein was born on Dec. 22, 1924 in Pontiac, Michigan and moved to Gladwin as youth where she was raised and educated. On Jan. 18, 1943 she married Neil Tucker in Midland; Mr. Tucker preceded her in death on March 25, 1994.

   Berniece was an active Stanley Home Products distributor for the past 49 years and was active with the Citizens Probation Council for over 15 years.

   Berniece devoted her life to helping others, and will be remembered by many for the little things she did for others.

   Berniece is survived by her children, Timothy (Joyce) Tucker of Bishopville, South Carolina, William (Ruth) Tucker of Trout Creek, Montana, Maxine Thomas of Midland, Rita (Rick) Proctor of Manning, South Carolina, Sheila Myers and Greg Myers of Midland; her sister, Ella Winkler of Gladwin; sister-inlaw, Ellen Klein of Gladwin; and 20 grandchildren, 35 Great grandchildren, and two Great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three grandchildren, Christina Myers, Scott Myers, Travis Davidson-Beebe; brother, Charles Klein; and a sister, Ida Mary McGregor.

   Funeral services were conducted Friday, July 8 from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home with internment in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

   Memorials may be offered to the Midland Visiting Nurse Association or to donor’s choice.
