Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice

Kriss Truelove Sr.
Kriss L. Truelove Sr., 43, of Chesapeake, Virginia, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Aug. 11, 2007. He had been fighting this battle for the past nine months.
He was born in Detroit, Michigan on Dec. 17, 1963 to John and Elizabeth (Roberts) Truelove.
He was owner/operator for Truelove Tire Center Inc. in Chesapeake, Virginia from 1994-2006 until his retirement in 2006. His parents, Jack and Arlene started the business in Chesapeake, before retiring to Gladwin in 1994, when Kriss and his brothers took over the successful business.
He spent his first 11 years in Hazel Park, Michigan, allowing him to visit Gladwin County most of his life. He most recently resided in Chesapeake, Virginia.
Kriss’ greatest love of all was his children, but he also loved all outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Helen (Lee) Truelove of Chesapeake, Virginia; two daughters, Jennifer Lee and Jacklyn E. Truelove, both of Chesapeake Virginia; one son, Kriss L. Truelove Jr. also of Chesapeake, Virginia; his parents, John “Jack” and Elizabeth “Arlene” Truelove of Gladwin; father-in-law, Cornelius E. Lee of Gainesville, Florida; two brothers, John R. (Trudy) Truelove of Chesapeake, Virginia and Charles L. Truelove of Gladwin; brotherin- law, John Lee of Gainesville, Florida; several nieces and cousins; and his grandmother, Mary Ellen Roberts of Hazel Park, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Concetta Lee; and his grandfather, Kenneth R. Roberts.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin with Father John Cotter officiating. He will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Gladwin.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today, Aug. 15, 2007 at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home of Gladwin. Memorial contributions will be used according to the wishes of the family.
