Otis Tolly
Otis W. Tolly, 72, of 1692 W. Glidden Road, Beaverton, died at his home Tuesday, evening, June 8, of a heart attach. Mr. Tolly was born February 2, 1899, in Dover and came to Gladwin County in 1906, with his parents. He lived here and in Midland County at various times, returning to Gladwin County in 1939 and spent the rest of his life here.
He and the former Marie Rogers, of Hope, were married January 1, 1922, in Hope. Mr. Tolly was a self-employed salesman and was well-known through-out the county as an auctioneer of farm sales, until his retirement. He was a member of the Hope Baptist Church. Survivors are six sons, Rev. John Tolly of Niles; DeWitt, Richard, and Lowell, all of Midland; James of Beaverton, and Milton of Hope; one daughter, Mrs. Ann Mishler of Beaverton; one brother, Walter of Temperance; 33 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday, June 11, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee R. Fick officiating and interment will be in the New Hope Cemetery. Mr. Tolly will be at the Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton until 11:30 a.m. Friday.
