Harvey D. Tolly
RITES HELD FOR EX-RESIDENT
Harvey D. Tollly, 62, of Temperance, and a former Midland County clerk died Friday, June 28, at Mercy Hospital in Monroe. His death was attributed a heart attack. Born Oct. 9, 1905, in Temperance, he moved with his parents, the Rev. and Mrs. James W. Tolly, to Skeels in 1907. He lived for 27 years in the Midland, Saginaw and Standis area. He was employed 14 of those years by the Chemical Bank and Trust Co, in Midland. While at Standish, he operated a restaurant, returning to Temperance in 1954 and operated Tolly's Confectionary Store there. He was married to the former Ida I. Gray of Midland County in 1932.
Surviving are his wife, Ida, of Temperance, one son Larry, also of Temperance; a daughter, Mrs. Janice Hoffman of Toledo Ohio; two brothers, Walter Tolly of Temperance, and Otis Tolly of Beaverton, and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, July 1st, from the First Baptist Church, Temperance, with Rev. John Tolly of Niles, officiating, assisted by Rev. Ellis Tolly of Bellvue. Burial was in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Monroe.
