Earl Tolly
FORMER RESIDENT PASSES AWAY
Earl Dutton Tolly, 47, passed away on July 12 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Toledo, Ohio, after an illness of three weeks. Funeral services were held from the Temperance Baptist church on Friday with the Rev. Richard Nyburg and Rev. George Hetherington officiating. Burial was made in the Blouch-Osgood cemetery at Temperance.
Mr. Tolly was born on September 16, 1902, the son of Rev. and Mrs. James Tolly. He moved to Skeels with his parents at the age of five and lived there and in Midland county until he was 21. He owned and operated the Tolly Bakery in Temperance and was a member of the Temperance Baptist church for 26 years.
Surviving are his wife, Reba; three sons, Arthur, Paul and Neil; one daughter, Marian, all of Temperance; three brothers, Walter of Temperance, Otis of Beaverton and Harvey of Saginaw, two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Rocker and Mrs. Bertha Whitmill, both of Temperance, also an uncle, Asa E. Tolly, of Hillsdale.
