Robert Tipsword
Robert M. Tipsword, 67, of Gladwin, died suddenly of a heart attack Tuesday,
June 16, 1992, in the emergency room of the Mid-Michigan Regional Medical Center, Gladwin. Born
in Detroit, Dec. 16, 1924, he moved to Gladwin County in 1986. He was a veteran of World War II
and was retired from Chrysler Motors as a tool and died maker. Mr. Tipsword and the former Margaret
Mack were married March 15, 1949, in Detroit.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Robert of Traverse City and James of Rosevile; 2
daughters, Margaret Spuhler of Macomb and Susan Kucharek of Utica; 4 brothers, Edward of Washington,
Paul of Brighton, Jimmie of Detroit and Joseph of Gladwin, 2 sisters, Doris McCormick of Dearborn and
Betty Gennero of Roseville; and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister. Rites were held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Sisson-Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Father Donald
Christensen officiated and burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
