Wendell Thomas
Wendell E. Thomas, 68, of Hawkins Rd., Gladwin, died Sunday, Aug. 24, in
Hurley Medical Center, Flint, after a long illness. Born in Prudenville, Jan. 9, 1917, he
had spent most of his life in Gladwin County. Mr. Thomas was a carpenter in construction and
a veteran of World War II. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ethel Sharp of Gladwin; and a brother,
Edmund of Linden. He was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred, in 1924 and a sister, Dora
Sullivan in 1969.
Services were held today, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel.
Pastor Ed Jaynes officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemete.
