Herald Taylor
RITES HELD HERE FOR EX-RESIDENT
Herald A. Taylor, 60, of California and formerly of Gladwin, died Wednesday, Jan. 6,
in Veterans Hospital, Long Beach, Calif., after a long illness. Born in Gladwin on Nov.
14, 1910, he had moved to California seven years ago. Mr. Taylor was foreman of a fruit
ranch. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Surviving are four sons, Ronald, Patrick and Joseph, of Detroit and Robert of Romulus;
one daughter, Sandra Taylor, of Ann Arbor; two brothers, Milford, of Alaska and Joseph, of
Flint; and three sisters, Mrs. Edith Brueggeman, of Gladwin, Mrs. Francis Oliver, of Flint
and Mrs. Mildred Bassford, of Wilmington, Calif.
Rites were held Sunday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home. Elder D. T. Burke officiated
and burial was in the Edenville Cemetery.
