Mumford Swinburne Jr.
Mumford Swinburne Jr., 89, of Gladwin passed away Sunday, March 18, 2007 at the Gladwin Pines Nursing Home in Gladwin after a long illness He was born Sept. 29, 1917 in Rhode Island.
He was a factory worker and a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II He had lived in Gladwin county for the last six years, previously residing in Springhill, Florida.
He married Ruby Morris on Nov. 15, 1992 in Grand Rapids.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby of Gladwin; one son, Dale Swinburne of Gladwin; one step-daughter, Jerrie (Edward) Eckert of Gladwin; three stepsons, Jene (Vicky) Guelzo of Comstock Park, James Guelzo of Grandville, and Jan (Sandra) Guelzo of Virginia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild He is predeceased by his parents and a step-son, Jack Guelzo.
According to the wishes of the family, cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements were made by Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home.
