Mary Swanton
HOLD SERVICES FOR MRS. SWANTON
Mrs. Mary Swanton, 81, died on Thursday evening, August 29th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bertha Brown, in Detriot. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Edenville Methodist church with burial in the Edenville cemetery. Rev. Donald Sailor officiated.
Mary Colbeck was born in Canada on October 14, 1865. She was married to John C. Swanton, who preceded her in death five years ago. Mrs. Swanton was a resident of Billings township, where she and her husband operated a farm, until about one and a half years ago, when she moved to Detroit to live with her daughter.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Millie Quellet, of Tobacco township, Mrs. Shirley Brown, of Detroit; two sons, Hazen Swanton, of Tobacco township and Bradford Swanton, of Midland three sisters, Mrs. Marsh Kent, Mrs. Annie Sterling of Billings and Nina Fox of Milwaukee; two brothers, Steve Colbeck and Hugh Colbeck, of Billings township.
