Richard Swan
Richard Andrew Swan, 48, of Gladwin, formerly of Battle Creek, died on Monday morning, Nov. 27, 2006 at White Pines Adult Foster Care Home in Gladwin.
Richard was born Sept. 17, 1958 in Battle Creek and was the son of Charles Harold and Frances L. (Naramore) Swan.
Richard is survived by his brother, Charles (Kathie) Swan of Gladwin; a niece, Jessie Alexandra Swan and a nephew, Charles Joshua Swan, both students at Michigan Tech in Houghton; and his step-father, Nestor “Nat” Sibbold of Orlando, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Andrew Swan.
At the request of the family, the memorial service to celebrate Richard’s life will be held at a later date in Gladwin. Final interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek. Memorial contributions in Richard’s honor may be made to the Binder Park Zoo of Battle Creek. The Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home in Battle Creek is in charge of all arrangements.
