JACOB STUTTON DEAD


  Jacob Stutton, of Rhodes, died at his home from that most dreaded disease, consumption, Tuesday morning, aged 50 years, and the funeral was held from the house Wednesday, at three o'clock p.m. Mr. Stutton was born in the state of New York and when the civil war broke out he enlisted and served two years. At the close of this struggle he was mustered out of service, but at once reinlisted, this time in the regular army and served five years. After being mustered out of the regular army he came to Detroit, at which city he served in the capacity of a policeman for some time. Four years ago he moved with his family to Rhodes, Gladwin county. He leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss. .
