Willard Story
Willard T. Story, 64, of Gladwin/Island Lake, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22 at the MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland.
He was born June 23, 1941 in Muskegon to Thomas and Lorania Frick Story. Willard served his country in the Navy during the Korean conflict and then worked as a meat cutter. He married the former Dorothy Fanslau on Oct. 24, 1986 in Livonia and then came to Gladwin County in 1989. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church and the Navy Seebee’s Island Lake X5 in Harrison.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Jeffery Story of Louisiana and Thomas (Joan) Story of Canton; one stepson, William (Ronda) Keedle of Westland; one daughter, Dawn (Dennis) Gault of Colorado Springs; one stepdaughter, Kimberly LaPrairie of Westland; six grandchildren; three Great grandchildren; one brother, James Story of Saline; and one sister, Alice Green of Florida.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 26 at St. Johns Lutheran Church. Rev. Paul Metzger officiated. Memorials may be made to the church. Sisson Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
