Marjorie Stone
Marjorie “Marge” Fruchey Stone, 71, of Gladwin died Sunday, July 3, 2005 at Gladwin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Gladwin after a long illness.
She was born in Sanford on Oct. 2, 1933 to Elry and Catherine (McFarland) Farison. She married Henry “Hank” Stone on Sept. 10, 1992 in Gladwin; he died in 2002. She lived in Gladwin County most of her life. She was a school bus driver for Beaverton Rural Schools and a life member of the V.F.W. Post 7303.
Surviving are six children, Bradley Fruchey of Albright Shores, Roger Fruchey of Minnesota, Ron Fruchey of Coleman, Russ Fruchey of Beaverton, Marjorie Fletcher of Minnesota, and Thomas Fruchey of Plymouth, Minnesota; one step-son, Randy Stone of Gladwin; one brother, David Farison of Gladwin; three sisters, LeahRuth Nimphie of Beaverton, Shirley Forman of Gladwin, and Iona Grady of Brimley; and one step-sister, Alta Hedrich of Beaverton. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Ellen Brown; two brothers, Kenneth Farison and Douglas Farison; and two step brothers, James Berthume and Bob Berthume.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 7 at Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton with the Rev. Mark H. Moore and Ann Meyers officiating. Burial followed at Beaverton Cemetery.
