Jerome St. Louis
Jerome P. St. Louis, 63, of Gladwin passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008 at his home following a year long battle with cancer.
Jerome was born Feb. 23, 1940 in Ann Arbor to Harry and Elaine (Kulbicki) St. Louis. He married the former Judy Bowman on June 2, 1958 in Milan, Michigan.
Jerry came to Gladwin in 1967 and worked as a printer for the Gladwin Record for 30 years. In 1996 he retired to North Carolina and returned in 2007. He is a veteran of the US Navy during the Vietnam War and was a charter member of the Secord Eagles 4121. Jerry loved to fish year round, bowl and play billiards. He was also a member of the Mason, F & AM.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; one son, Jerome P. St. Louis, Jr. of Greensboro, North Carolina; one daughter, LuAnn (James) Beck of Gladwin; grandchildren, Jennifer and Scott Scheib, Laura Beck, Joey and Jarrett St. Louis; mother, Elaine St. Louis of Gladwin; and his inlaws, Thelma and Llewellyn Bowman of Adrian. Jerry was preceded in death by his father in 1983.
Services were held Monday, April 28, 2008 at Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin with Rev. Richard Coury officiating. He was laid to rest in Highland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Helping Hands Hospice in West Branch.
