Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
James Ronald Spencer


   James Ronald “JR” Spencer , age 33, of Gladwin, Michigan (formerly of Ypsilanti) passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2002 from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. He was born on June 15, 1969 in Madison Heights to James and Sharon (Vipond) Spencer, Sr. He married the former Cecilia Lloyd in Florida on June 15, 1997. She survives him. Her grew up in Gladwin County and graduated from Capacs High School in 1987. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a veteran of Desert Storm.

  Surviving besides his wife Cecilia are four children, James R. Spencer III of Gladwin, Heather M. Spencer of Lapeer, Sara Spencer of N. Carolina, and Ashley Spencer of Lapeer; his mother Sharon Spencer of Gladwin; grandmother Josephine Vipond of Gladwin; brother Michael McIntyre of California; sisters Kathryn (Alan) Thomas and Holly Spencer, both of Gladwin, and Donna (Matt) Fullerton of Garden City; and mother in law Patricia Lloyd of Gladwin. He was predeceased by his father James R. Spencer Sr.

  Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2002 at the Sisson Funeral Home. Rev. Phil Hortop officiated, with burial in Arbutus Cemetery. Memorials may be made out to “Wishes of the Family” in care of Cecilia Spencer..
