Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Carl Songalewski

   Carl Richard Songalewski, 76, of Palmetto, Florida, passed away April 27, 2007 at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida.

   He was born in Detroit on May 28, 1930 to Michael and Christina (Wisnewski) Anderson.

   Carl retired from Ford Motor Company where he was a carpenter. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army Korean Conflict He lived in Gladwin county for 18 years.

   He married Betty (Anderson) Songalewski on Dec. 1, 2001 in Gladwin He is survived by his wife; daughter, Vivian (Sylvester “Bob”) Drewa Jr.; son, Carl Songalewski Jr.; two stepsons, Dennis (Patricia) Scheller and James Scheller; grandchildren, Sofia Agotesku, Christie Stewart, Paul Scheller, Christina Lukas and Michael and Matthew Scheller; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Preczeski; several nieces and nephews He was predeceased in death by his parents; brother, Eddie Sangle; sisters, Betty Pawlik, Lillian Pawlik and Gabriella Zelazny.

   Visitation will be May 2, 2007 from 2-9 p.m. at Hall- Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin.

   Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Gladwin with Pastor Matthew Schultz officiating.

   There will also be a grave side service held at 11 a.m on Friday, May 4, 2007 at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia.

   Memorial contributions can be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church-Building Fund.
