Welcome "Wick" Snyder
ILLNESS FATAL TO WELCOME SNYDER

   Services will be held Thursday for Welcome (Wick) Snyder, 74, of Beaverton, who died Monday, Dec 1, following a long illness. Mr. Snyder was born in Gladwin County May 30, 1895, and had lived most of his life in Beaverton. He was a World War I veteran and a retired employee of the County Road Commission. He was a member of the World War I Barracks of Gladwin County.

   Mr. Snyder and the former Miss Beatrice Crowell were married in Flint May 13, 1920. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice; a daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Grisdale of Mt. Pleasent; a son, Leo, of rural Beaverton; three sisters, Mrs. Don (Myrtle) Perkins, of Beaverton, Mrs. William (Betty) Schwender, of Saginaw, and Mrs. Eva Cox, of Detroit; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

   The Rev. Neil G. Keyes and Rev. Margrete Smith will officiate at the 2:00 p.m. services Thursday at the Hall Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Dale Cemetery.
