Leo Jinks Snyder
Leo "Jinks" Snyder, 52, of Hay Township, passed away suddenly Saturday, December 1,
from a heart attack. In ill health for several years, he was found in his pickup truck about 1:20 p.m.
on Ridge Road near Hockaday Road where he had been on business.
Born in Tobacco Township March 14, 1921, Mr. Snyder had been a life long resident of Gladwin County,
He and the former Miss Marion Cottrell were married June 1, 1946 in Beaverton. He was a veteran of World
War II, and a retired Dow Chemical Company employee in Midland. He was a honary life member of Local 12075
UMWA and the Hay Township Senior Citizens Club.
Surviving are his wife, Marion; 4 sons, Gary, Larry, Terry, and Randy, all of Beaverton; his mother,
Mrs. Beatrice Snyder of Beaverton; a sister, Mrs. Geraldine Grisdale of Mt. Pleasent and 1 granddaughter.
Services were held Monday at 2:00 p.m., at Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton. The Rev. Roger Browne and Rev.
Margaret Smith officiated and burial was in Dale Cemetery.
