Charles Snell
CHARLES SNELL
Charles H. Snell, 80, of Whitney Beach Road,
Beaverton, died Thursday, July 4, 1985, at Gladwin
Area Hospital. He was born Aug. 13, 1904, in Michigan.
He was retired as a machinest for Pontiac Motors in
Pontiac for 20 years, retiring in 1969. He has been a
resident of Gladwin County since 1970. He married the
former Bernetta Howe, Aug. 15, 1937, in Detroit; she
died June 2, 1977.
He leaves daughters, Charlene Hamilton of
Flagstaff, Ariz., Nancy Porter of Trustville, Ala.,
Lola Burton of Pontiac and Bernetta Strong of
Beaverton; sons, Jack Snell of Beaverton, Marvin
Snell, William Snell both of Pontiac; 50
grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a
brother, Clayton Snell of Corunna. He was preceded in
death by a son Charles Snell in 1980; a daughter Jean
Current in 1977.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Hall
Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. Burial will be in the
Arbutus Cemetery, Gladwin County. Friends may call at
the funeral home after 5 p.m. Saturday.
