LAWRENCE SMITH


  Lawrence "Jack" Smith, 46, of Midland, died February 25, while visiting his brother in Tampa, Fla. He was born on October 4, 1934, in Gladwin and attended Beaverton schools. Mr. Smith served with the U.S. Army in the Korean War and was a member of the Sanford American Legion Post 443.

  Surviving are 2 sons, Larry with the Marines in Belgrade, Yugoslavia and Garry of Sparta; 2 daughters, Cindy of Cedar Springs and Lynn of Sparta; 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

  A committal service will be held at the Arbutus Cemetery Saturday at 1 p.m. The Rev, Glen Joseph will officiate. A military services will alson be held by the Sanford American Legion Post..
