Hazel Drotleff Smith
Hazel Drotleff-Smith, 87, of Gladwin passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Gladwin.
Hazel was born May 3, 1919 in Detroit to Harold and Esther (Lindberg) Streling She married Arthur Drotleff on July 3, 1940. He passed away in May 1991.
On Jan. 3, 1992, she married Gordon Smith. Gordon passed away in 2002.
Hazel came to Gladwin in 1986 from Romeo.
Surviving are one daughter, Joan (Thomas) Kreckman of Gladwin; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Two brothers and one sister predecease her.
Services were held Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007 at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Rev. Matthew Schultz officiated and burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Detroit. Sisson Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
