Eunice Smith
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister Eunice Elizabeth Smith, 76, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008, in Midland.
Eunice Elizabeth Carman was born Nov. 22, 1931 in Flint. She married Bruce Dwain Smith Jan. 22, 1951; he predeceased her Nov. 5, 1984.
Surviving are four children, Judith Humpert of Bay City, Susan (Mark) Ballard of Saginaw, David Smith of Flushing and Lawrence Smith of Beaverton; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Juanita Podoba; one brother, Charles (Renee) Carman; stepsister, Dorothy (Larry) Shuart; step-brothers, Jim (Linda) Durfee, Sam (Mary) Durfee, Del (Nina) Durfee and Bill (Kathy) Durfee; uncle, Eugene Carman; brother-in-law, Eugene (Joyce) Smith; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Leland Gayle (Gladys) Carman and mother, Ruth Brakeiron Hawks (Walter) Schiller.
Cremation has taken place. Private committal will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the family wishes. Arrangements were made by W. L. Case & Company Funeral Directors.
