Ethel SMith
Ethel Smith, 80, of Gladwin, died May 30, 2006 at Edna Mae Leisurely Living in Gladwin after a short illness. She was born June 30, 1925 in Flint. Ethel lived in Gladwin County since 1966; she previously resided in Flint.
She was a clerk at Schwagers Clothing in Gladwin and was a member of Beaverton United Methodist Church, a volunteer for Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center gift shop and a member of the Gladwin Coffee Group.
Surviving Ethel are three daughters, Anna (Larry) Robinson of Gladwin, Donna (Bill) Horton of Gladwin, and Pam Gorton and special friend Roy Eisenhardt; four grandchildren, Cyndi (Chuck) Roesner, Christine Robinson, Bob Horton and Amy Horton; one Great-grandchild, Joshua; and a sister-in-law, Doris Smith. She is predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Bill and Ernest Smith; one sister, Goldie; and a sister-in-law, Irene.
Funeral services were held June 2 at Beaverton United Methodist Church. Pastors Linda Jo Powers and Fred LaMere officiated. Burial was at Ridge Cemetery in Gladwin.
