Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Olga skidmore

   Olga Helen Skidmore, 80, of Burt, passed away Monday, Aug. 21, 2006 at home. The daughter of the late Harry and Jennie Burke, Olga was born March 1, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Saginaw as a child with her parents.

   She married George Wesley Skidmore on Jan. 10, 1948 in Saginaw and he preceded her in death of Dec. 8, 1991. Mrs. Skidmore had been employed for several years by Michigan National Bank. She had been a member of the Square Dance Club, the Walking Club, and enjoyed bowling, playing Bridge and spending time with her family. Surviving are four children: Susan Dankert of Gladwin, Patricia A. Jackson of Ann Arbor, Thomas J. (Denise) Skidmore of Burt, and Mark (Betty) Skidmore of Pinconning; nine grandchildren, Zack, Chelsea, Seth, Cole, Katelyn, Benjamin, Anna, Stacy and Stephanie; six Great-grandchildren; and a sister, Georgie Talbert of Mountain Grove, Missouri. Mrs. Skidmore was preceded in death by three sisters, Nadine Wood, Kathleen LaBeau and Cecelia Rector; a son-in-law, Gary Dankert; and a granddaughter, Emily Kay Ann Brevis.

   Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Cederberg and Briestzke Funeral Home of Saginaw. Private interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
