Norman Edward Skaggs
NORMAN EDWARD "DUDE" SKAGGS
Norman Edward "Dude" Skaggs, 69, of Gladwin, died
suddenly, Thursday, Dec. 4, 1997 at MidMichigan
Regional Medical Center-Midland. Born March 18, 1928
in Pickford, he lived in Gladwin since 1976 and
previously lived in Westland. Norman married the
former Marguerite Gennette, Sept. 19, 1968 in Taylor.
He had been employed by Store Equipment Company in
Detroit, retiring in 1973 as a refrigeration
installer. He was currently employed in maintenance at
Gladwin Mental Health. He was a member of VFW Post
7303 in Gladwin County.
Besides his wife he is survived by three sons,
Frank of Dearborn and William of Gladwin, Joseph and
wife Marjorie Maresh of Taylor; two daughters, Brenda
Ferguson of Milan and Joann and husband Juerg Mutti of
St. Clair Shores; one sister, Beulah Armstrong of
Dafter; nine grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Hall
Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. Burial was in Arbutus
Cemetery, Beaverton. Graveside services were by VFW
Post 7303..
