Nathan Silance
Nathan L. Silance, 77, of 703 Pleasant Shores, Wiggins Lake, died Friday,
November 3, at the Gladwin Area Hospital. He was a retired factory worker in the Buick Motor
Division in Flint. Born in Franceville, Ind., May 6, 1895, he came to Flint in 1919 following
service in World War I. Upon retirement in 1960, he moved to Gladwin. Survivors are three sons,
Sylvester of Panama City, Fla., formerly of Beaverton; Edwin and William of Flint; one brother;
one sister; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Services were held Monday at 1:00
p.m. at the Mathews Funeral Home with the Rev. Winston Decker officiating and burial was in
Highland cemetery.
