Gilbert Sherman

SERVICES HELD FOR GILBERT SHERMAN

   Funeral services were held for Gilbert H. Sherman, 83, on Monday afternoon at the Hall Funeral Home, at 2 o'clock. The Rev. John Miller of the Gladwin Methodist church circuit officiated and burial was in the Ridge cemetery. Mr. Sherman was born in Yurkir, Ontario, on May 20, 1865, and was married to Miss Maggie Long on October 31, 1895. He made his home on a farm in Gladwin for the past 75 years. Mr. Sherman had been in poor health for about three months, and died last Saturday morning at his home in Gladwin township.

   Surviving are his wife; four sons, Fred and Harvey of Gladwin, Lee of Flint, and Glenn, of Clio; one daughter, Eva Perrine, of Ann Arbor; also three grandchildren. Pallbearers for Mr. Sherman were, Ron Bellinger, Fred Greer, Russell Hagar, Hazen Greer, William Sisco, Donald Potts.
